Maternal & Child Health- IHCS remains actively involved in activities related to maternal/child health.

Maternal & Child Health Collaboration

IHCS coordinates and facilitates maternal/child health initiatives through a collaborative effort between the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH), Michigan Association of Health Plans (MAHP), Michigan Association of Local Public Health (MALPH), and all Michigan Medicaid managed care plans.

IHCS convenes a collaborative Maternal Child Health Quality Improvement Workgroup quarterly to review ongoing activities and provide a format for discussing new initiatives. The Maternal Child Workgroup has been in existence since 2002.  Products from this group have included the EPSDT learning module, EPSDT toolkit, maternal/child focus groups, population management projects, MIHP provider contract language and other projects.

The Maternal Child Health Workgroup meetings are scheduled from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm at the Michigan Public Health Institute, 2436 Woodlake Circle, Suite 380, Okemos, Michigan.
