John Hazewinkel is a Project Manager for the Michigan Health Information Network (MiHIN) Resource Center, based in the Institute for Health Care Studies at Michigan State University. He has worked on a number of health care projects including the technical work group of the MiHIN Conduit to Care planning process and the Michigan Medicaid Long-Term Care Task Force. John holds a BA in International Economics and Cultural Affairs from Valparaiso University, a Master of Public Affairs degree from Indiana University (Northwest) and a Juris Doctor from the MSU College of Law. John previously served as the program coordinator of the Japan Center for Michigan Universities, assistant director of International Studies at Valparaiso University, administrative liaison for the Michigan Coalition of Immigrant and Refugee Protection, and as an English instructor for the Amity Foundation in the People's Republic of China. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan.
