Denise Holmes serves as the Associate Dean for Government Relations and Outreach for the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine (MSU CHM). As the Dean’s representative in matters of health policy and legislation, she is the principal CHM contact with the Michigan state government in areas of health, legislation, policy, and programs. Additionally, she is working on behalf of the Dean to formulate plans to expand CHM in Grand Rapids. Denise also serves as the Director of the MSU Institute for Health Care Studies. As director, she oversees an organization that provides research, policy analysis, education, and quality improvement assistance to state government and health care organizations throughout Michigan. 

Denise is the executive director of the MiHIN Resource Center and the director of the Michigan Health Policy Forum. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research Center, Synergy Medical Education Alliance, and the West Michigan Medical School Alliance.
